TRAINING SEMINAR FOR UKRAINIAN AGRARIANS
On November 20, a three-day seminar of targeted training of managers and specialists of agricultural enterprises of many regions of Ukraine, which are members of the public association “Agrarian Union of Ukraine” on the topic “Precision agriculture – an effective tool of modern agro-production”, began work in Sumy NAU.
The opening of the seminar and the first meeting took place in the room of the SNAU Academic Council. Rector of the University Academician Ladyka V.I. addressed the welcoming speech.
One of the founders of the seminar is the Agrarian Union of Ukraine. Its chairman, Gennady Novikov, pointed out the leading role of Sumy National University in introducing innovations into the educational process: it also attracts business interests, the development of dual education, defining directions for the creation of modern curricula and courses.
In his speech, Vice-Rector for SNAU Educational Work Valery Zhmaylov spoke about the importance of cooperation with agribusiness circles for creating the material base of the educational process.
In the Sumy region, agricultural production is stable, which requires highly qualified personnel – said the head of the Department of Agro-industrial Development of Sumy Regional State Administration Alexander Maslak.
The command of time, the logic of modern development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine in agro-education has made it necessary to move from a centralized methodology to the perception of modern technologies in their diversity and dynamics of development. Thus, one of the directions of preparation of specialists in “Agroengineering” was the course of precision agriculture – emphasized the dean of engineering and technological faculty Mikhail Dovzhik.
