Yakovlyev Valeriy Fedorovych was born May 14, 1946 in the city of Melitopol, Zaporizhzhya region.

In 1964 he graduated from Melitopol High School in Zaporizhzhya region.

Since 1963 he worked as an electrician of the local area of ​​the electrical networks, radio mechanic of the television and radio studio.

Since 1970 - student of Melitopol Institute of Agricultural Mechanization (MIMSG), Faculty of Agricultural Electrification.

In 1976 he graduated from the Melitopol Institute of Agricultural Mechanization (MIMSG) with a degree in electrical engineering.

Since 1976 - Assistant Professor, Department of Electricity Use in Agriculture, Melitopol Institute of Agricultural Mechanization (MIMG);

Since 1981 - a graduate student at the Moscow Institute of Agricultural Engineers. V.P. Goryachkina, Moscow.

Since 1985 - Junior Research Fellow at the GDL - 7 Moscow Institute of Agricultural Engineers. VP Goryachkina;

Since 1986 - Assistant Professor, Department of Electricity Use in Agriculture, Melitopol Institute of Agricultural Mechanization (MIMZG);

Since 1988 he has been the head of a number of state scientific programs. According to the results of scientific researches carried out within the framework of scientific programs, 8 PhD theses were defended, 4 under personal guidance. Direction of research works "Development of methods and technical means of energy and information influence of electromagnetic field and ultrasound on agricultural products and materials".

Since 1987 - Candidate of Technical Sciences. He defended his dissertation in the specialized scientific council of the Moscow Institute of Agricultural Engineers, Moscow.

Since 1989 - Head of the Department of Electrotechnology (MIMZG - TDATA);

Since 1991 - Associate Professor.

Since 1996 he has been a member of the Specialized Academic Council K 18.819.01 in defense of PhD theses at the Taurida State Agrotechnological University.

Since 1998 - Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, TDATA;

Since 1999 - Associate Professor of the Department of Agricultural Power Supply of TDATA;

Since 2002 - Head of the Department of Agricultural Power Supply (TDATA - TDATU);

Since 2005. - Professor. The academic title was conferred by the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on December 15, 2005.

Since 2008 - Dean of the Faculty of Energy, Tavrida State Agrotechnological University (TDATU)

Since 2011 - Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering Systems in AIC and Physics of Sumy National Agrarian University.

Since 2017 he is the head of the department of electrical systems of Sumy National Agrarian University.

Since September 2019 - Professor of the Department of Energy and Electrical Engineering.
