Born in Kharkiv. In 1971 he graduated from the Kharkov Aviation Institute with a degree in Aviation Engines with a qualification as a mechanical engineer.
Since 1971. 1988. worked as a structural engineer, senior engineer and senior researcher in research, design and educational institutions.
Since 1988. to 2002. worked in management positions in commercial structures.
Since 2002. worked as a professor at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, and since 2007. Head of the Department of Transport Systems at Kharkiv National Highway University.
In 1980. defended his candidacy, and in 2001. doctoral dissertation. In 2005. by the decision of the Attestation Board of the Ministry of Education and Science, the academic title of professor of the Department of Automobile and Tractor Engineering was conferred.
Since 2011. elected corresponding member of the Transport Academy of Ukraine.
The total length of service in scientific and industrial institutions is 44 years.
I have more than 120 scientific publications, 139 – patents for inventions and copyrights, monographs, textbooks.
