Smolyarov Hennadiy Andriyovych was born in 1952, Ukrainian.
In 1978 he graduated from the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Automation and Telemechanics, qualification - electrical engineer.
Since 1980, he worked in the Sumy branch of the Kharkov Agricultural Institute as an assistant.
Since 1987, he studied at the graduate school of the Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics.
In 1991 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of economic sciences on the topic «Research and development of a distributed accounting information processing system», specialty 08.00.13 «Economic and mathematical methods».
Since 1991, he worked at the Sumy Agrarian Institute, then at the Sumy National Agrarian University as a senior lecturer, associate professor, head of the department.
From 2016 to August 2019 - docent of the Department of Electrical Systems of SNAU.
Since September 2019 - docent at the Department of Energy and Electrical Systems of SNAU.
The main academic disciplines: «Research Technologies», «Information Technologies», «Fundamentals of Power Supply, Relay Protection and Automation».
The direction of scientific research is information technology in power supply and energy conservation.
He is the author of 58 publications of an educational and methodological nature, of which 5 textbooks for students of higher educational institutions of the III-IV level of accreditation, co-authored, 1 with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Agriculture, 2 standard programs on educational disciplines approved by the Department of Agricultural Education, Science and Consulting of the Ministry of Agriculture Ukraine.
The author of 80 scientific works, of which four collective monographs, 18 articles in professional publications of Ukraine.
He takes an active part in international, republican scientific and technical conferences, symposia, seminars.
