40 years of Engineering and Technology Faculty

At noon on October 27, 2018, a real positive oasis was created in the lobby of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology – strong men’s handshakes, hugs, loud greetings. It was a registration, not of guests, but of actual participants of the holiday of the 40th anniversary of the ITF. Everything was at once: memories of the past student years, exciting meetings and greetings from their teachers, interviews with Sumy TV channels.

The bell rang and more than eighty 1983-2008 graduates moved to the lecture audience for a solemn couple to the sounds of the Marshal of Mechanics (our associate professor Korzh MD).

Started lecture lecture Zmaylov V. M – Vice-rector for educational work of Sumy National Agrarian University. He summarized the history of our higher education institution, its achievements and the leading role of the Faculty of Engineering at the current stage of SNAU’s development.

Head of Scientific-Pedagogical and Student Collectives ITF Dean Dovzhik M.Ya. said: “The professionalism of the faculty members is determined by the success of our graduate students.” In the course of forty years of existence of our faculty more than 4,5 thousand young specialists of the agro-engineering branch have entered a wide field of activity in all spheres of management. Among them are well-known heads of agricultural enterprises, businessmen, public figures, most teachers of technical disciplines of the university and heads of SNAU colleges.

After the official part of the meeting, in continuation of the tradition of the faculty, the esteemed assembly made a warm photo in memory of the historic tractor.

Together with the chairman of the Sumy branch of the agrarian party of Ukraine, S.M Karpenko, author and developer of the entire landscape composition in the institute territory, Kohanovsky VM, by the way, on the day of his birth, opened a beautiful alley in honor of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

In the cozy banquet hall, the first director of the branch and then the first rector of Sumy Agrarian University Ivan Bryukhovetsky congratulated the participants of the celebration. He told how many obstacles there were. back in Soviet times, when creating an agricultural university in Sumy. The development of both the university and our faculty is also very difficult in the current period. No wonder people say that the way to overcome, the one who goes forward. And if you stand, then there will be no difficulties.

In the light spiritual atmosphere of the student fraternity, it became visible and noticeable how mature and mature our engineering faculty was. The first graduates have a profound life experience, a wise analysis – because they have already reached the retirement age.

They passed on the relay of memories and greetings to the younger generations, who have the power to conquer new professional peaks, to work in difficult times of change in our society.
