Opening History. The Hog Slate Innovative Module Laboratory was opened on March 13, 2020 and is a complete pig complex, but on a reduced scale. The modern Hog Slate Innovative Module Laboratory is open to the training of highly qualified engineers in the field of pig breeding. In the innovative Hog Slat module there are applicants who in the future will be able to fully manage the process at enterprises and pig complexes.
The main specialization. The laboratory provides new opportunities for applicants in the development and implementation of automated lines that minimize human impact on pig growing. After all, some cases of ASF are directly interconnected by transport highways or trade routes, or even family connections of owners of sick pigs. Thus, the leading driving force of the epizootic process of the ASF was the social (or the so -called “human”) factor. The laboratory widely presents modern pig complexes, which fully imitates the conditions of real production.
The audience conducts classes and seminars in the disciplines: “Machines and equipment for animal husbandry”, “Machines and mechanisms of production processes in the livestock and processing industry” for applicants in the specialty in the specialty 208 agro -engineering.
Logistical support. The laboratory presents the dotron system, which is one of the main elements. Its function is to give a metered amount of water with the possibility of controlled dosing of animals for animals.Another important element is the farrowing machine with an infrared lamp for heating piglets, with the sow in a separate fence, which allows the pigs to have a free space for movement, access to food, water and mother’s milk, but protects them from destruction. Group and individual retention machines that have different types of feeders (to familiarize with the applicants) and regular trays. Next, the model of keeping piglets of different age groups is simulated. On one side from 2 to 4 months, on the other – from 4 to slaughter. Accordingly, for each age group, an optimal microclimate is created, which is regulated. Different maintenance systems (for younger and older age groups) have different floors. Thus, individuals aged 2-4 months have a plastic floor with small cracks for removal of products of life, for older people a concrete floor with larger cracks has been created. The laboratory presents various feed supply systems, such as feeding a shab.
