Opening History. The rapid development of Ukraine’s agricultural production has led to the need to prepare professional specialists with knowledge and skills in the field of use of accurate agriculture. For several years, higher education applicants and Sumy NAU partners have emphasized the need to provide the relevant material and technical base at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The result of the joint work was the opening of the Sumy NAU in the spring of 2015, which was joined by partner companies: Horsch, Mironovsky Khliboproduct, Kernel, IMC, AgroProSPERIS. The creation of the appropriate material and technical base led to the opening of the educational program “Precision Agriculture Systems” in the specialty 208 agro-engineering. The constant updating of educational equipment (stands, demonstration models, etc.) allows applicants to get acquainted with advanced developments in the industry, which allows graduates to be competitive in the labor market.
The main specialization. Studying the system of precision agriculture, acquiring the skills of using modern applied. Study of hardware and machine support for accurate agriculture.
The audience conducts classes and seminars in the disciplines “Geoinformation systems and information technologies in precise agriculture”, “hardware in systems of precision agriculture”, “Machine provision in precision agriculture”, “Economics of production with the use “Agricultural machinery”, “Operation of machines and equipment”, “Machine provision of agro -technologies” for applicants in the specialties of 208 agro -engineering, 201 agronomy, 141 electricity electrical engineering and electromechanics.

Logistical support. Layouts based on seeding sections of horsch maestro and precision planeting, which are used to study the design of modern sowing machines, obtain practical skills in setting agricultural machines and more. Mobile meteorological station, equipped with sensors to determine the meteorolological conditions of air and soil, allows to determine in real time the conditions of performing technological operations of crop and animal husbandry (temperature, humidity, speed and direction of wind, level of solar radiation, etc.). The applicants have the opportunity to study the structure and features of the operation of such equipment for obtaining, accumulating and analyzing environmental data, followed by their application. Samples of Navigation Equipment of John Deere machines (antennas, monitors, cossacks) help applicants to familiarize themselves with their structure and technical characteristics, to study the features of their use, adjustment, maintenance and operation.

The audience is equipped with a multimedia projector with an interactive whiteboard. UVs have the opportunity to use advanced software, which makes them access to modern digital platforms for precise agriculture (ClimatefieldView, Cropio, Cropmonitoring, Onesoil, etc.). This makes it possible to acquire and analyze data to make effective management decisions. Also, the PCs have AR- and VR symulators control of the technology of well-known manufacturers (John Deere, CLAAS, CASE IH, etc.), which allow the applicants to acquire the skills of control of modern units.
