WE ARE WAITING FOR CHINESE STUDENTS
The program of cooperation of the Sumy National Agrarian University with the Hainan University – People’s Republic of China is becoming increasingly stronger and more concrete.
Founded in 1983, Hainan University has now become a leading provincial-level university, actively developing cooperation with foreign universities and institutes, drawing up and operating on the basis of long-term targeted programs and treaties. Each year, the institute selects the best students and sends them to continue their studies abroad, for example in France, Singapore, Russia, Taiwan, etc.
The university is broad-based, covering all areas of activity in Hainan Island, including agriculture. It has the Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture.
According to the SNAU Rector, Academician Ladyka VI, “A peculiarity in their system is educational activity on the 2 + 2 or 2 + 3 system, that is, the student studies for two years in China, and three, for example, in Ukraine. Our teachers go there as visiting professors and read there with the locals, and then students come here. The only serious question now is the reconciliation of curricula so that students can receive two diplomas – Ukrainian and Chinese.
Thus, a brand new educational exchange begins, where we can implement our modern educational and scientific platforms. ”
The list of faculties and specialties of the University of Hinan does not separately highlight agricultural engineering, so the members of the delegation showed great interest in the new modern technology used in the training of mechanical engineers.
It should also be noted that the management and teachers of the Chinese University have got acquainted with the professional interest introduced in the ITF Master’s course in geotechnology and precision agriculture.
